Chunky painted wooden beads shaped like farm animals, fruits and vegetables, or sea creatures, with two laces for threading. Threading is one of the first real concentration activities for toddlers: pinch the bead, find the hole, push the lace through, pull it out the other side.
Material: wood with a painted finish (the supplier lists it as CE certified with no substances of concern).
In the set: farm animals (14 beads), fruits and vegetables (16 beads), or sea animals (11 beads), plus 2 laces.
Age: the maker grades this set 3 years and up. In a Montessori home it is often offered from about 18 months with an adult sitting alongside.
What it supports: pincer grip, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and naming animals, fruits and colors.
Care: wipe with a damp cloth. Keep dry.
Safety: small parts and cords. Always supervise, and put the set away after play.
Ships from our partner workshop and usually arrives in about 2 weeks.
