Named for its five-fingered leaves, cinquefoil is an old European hedgerow herb valued for its astringent, toning nature. It brews into a dry, earthy tea that works well in blends.
How to brew: 1–2 tsp per cup of just-boiled water. Cover and steep 10 minutes.
