A deeply restful meditation experience. Yoga Nidra is a simple guided meditation practiced lying down in savasana (corpse pose). The body is still and relaxed while the mind stays aware, following the teacher's voice through the practice.
- Format: 30 minutes of restorative yoga, followed by one hour of Yoga Nidra meditation
- What it means: Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep, sleep with a trace of awareness, releasing muscular, emotional and mental tension
- Who it's for: anyone; it can be practiced at any time or after a regular yoga class
- What to bring: dress warmly, with socks and a long-sleeve shirt or light jacket
