Vana, or 'forest' tulsi, is the wild-growing holy basil of the Himalayan foothills. Its bright, lemony-herbal aroma makes it the freshest of the three tulsis — lovely on its own or blended with Rama and Krishna.
How to brew: 1–2 tsp per cup of just-boiled water. Cover and steep 5–10 minutes.
